Solvang Tour

Drive Dates: Thursday and Saturday, April 4 & 6, 2019

Total Drive Distance: 146 miles (round trip)

Nicknamed the Danish Capital of America, Solvang is the home to a number of bakeries, restaurants and shops offering a taste of Denmark in California. This historic Danish village offers the best of the Santa Ynez Valley in a relaxed and peaceful setting. Indulge in authentic Danish pastries at their would-famous bakeries. Stroll through the town and admire the old-world European architecture and find the perfect souvenir at a variety of charming boutiques and shops.

From Santa Barbara, we’ll take a 2 ½ hr. back roads drive through the Santa Ynez Valley and transition to CA-135 through Los Alamos. We’ll continue over the Harris Grade into Lompoc and drive past more vineyards on Santa Rosa Rd. The final leg of our tour will take us to the Alisal River Grill in Solvang where we’ll enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch on their patio overlooking the golf course.
