The drive circumvents the Boone Monument Village, the Daniel Boone Burial Site and Monument as well as the quant German village of Dutzow, bordering the Katie Trail State Park, the longest developed rail-trail in the country.

The tour continues along windy and elevated backroads through the river valley foothills and descents onto the river basin floor and ascending to the Mount Pleasant Winery in the German village of Augusta, which offers unparalleled views of the Missouri river valley. Treffen participants will enjoy a private luncheon, overlooking the majestic river valley during peak fall season! After lunch, guests are invited to tour the Mt. Pleasant and Augusta wineries and visit the galleries, shops and amenities offered in downtown Augusta.

Augusta, Missouri, founded in 1836 is in the heart of the area’s wine growing region and is gaining national attention.
