GREAT RIVER ROUTE-GRAFTON TOUR

Drive Dates: Thursday September 21 and Friday September 22, 2023.

Tour Duration: 5 hours

 

This tour will head west to St. Charles County to State Highway 94, which is part of the original state highway system built in 1922 and closely parallels the Missouri river. The tour then heads north through the river basin agricultural midlands winding along the border of the Mississippi river. We circumvent the Pelican Island Natural area and then take respite for a special VIP mid-stop at a private river front estate in Spanish Lake, overlooking the river.

 

The tour then heads north to Highway 100 bordering the river bluffs and the mighty Mississippi through historic Alton, Illinois; and finally, to our destination at the scenic River bluff town of Grafton, Illinois.
