Helen is Georgia’s representation of a Bavarian village. Here you will find a very clean picturesque city with a mountain stream running right through the middle of it. Tubers ride the stream right through town during the summer months. You can find colorful fudge shops, pastry shops, restaurants, gift shops, and of course beer. If you came to Treffen Georgia Mountains to drive mountain roads this is the tour for you! This route will take in several of the most scenic and best mountain routes in the state. The Tail of the Dragon has nothing on GA 60 South, which is only one of the mountain roads you will drive on this tour.

Lunch will be at the Valhalla Resort. This is a beautiful boutique resort located above downtown Helen on the side of a mountain. We will be in their event center above the pro shop of the associated golf course. Lunch is a plated multi-course meal prepared by their executive chef.

You should have a few minutes to explore Helen after lunch before you return to the Barnsley Resort.
